The National Council recently decided to suspend the registration fees for land registry and liens up to an assessment basis of EUR 500,000.00 in order to make the purchase and construction of a home more affordable. The prerequisite for this is that the newly built or purchased residential property serves an urgent housing need of the owner to be registered.

 

The suspension of registration fees applies to contracts concluded from April 1, 2024.
