The Federal Law on the Control of Foreign Direct Investments (Investment Control Act – InvKG) serves the state control of direct investments from third countries that can pose a threat to public safety and order. The InvKG is implemented in implementation of the “EU FDI Screening Regulation” and amends the provisions currently contained in the Foreign Trade Act 2011 (AußWG 2011) and summarizes them in a new law.
