NEWSLETTER 11-2020: COVID-19 AND OBLIGATION TO FILE INSOLVENCY
In view of the impending wave of bankruptcies, which has already been mentioned several times in the media, the question arises as to whether an application for insolvency should be filed despite the measures taken by the legislature to stabilize the economy due to the pandemic.
Despite the measures ordered by the legislature to provide economic support to companies, there is still a fundamental obligation to file for insolvency if the conditions are met. However, these requirements and the deadlines to be observed have been (temporarily) changed by legal measures taking into account the effects caused by the pandemic.
