On July 1, 2018, the 2nd Adult Protection Act (2nd ErwSchG) comes into force. This means that the entire guardianship and guardianship law in Austria will be fundamentally reformed and regulated.
In the future, the lawyer will play a central role in finding the appropriate form for the various possible forms of representation and in ensuring the best possible representation for the people affected.
With the 2. Adult Protection Act (2nd ErwSchG), which will come into force on July 1st, 2018, will completely reorganize guardianship law and representative law in Austria. In addition to new terminology (the term guardianship is completely abolished and replaced by elected, legal or judicial adult representation), this law fundamentally reforms the entire guardianship and guardianship law.
