Procurement law
Due to the great economic importance of public contracts, public procurement law is now one of the most important areas of law. The numerous national and international legal sources – European procurement law, Federal Procurement Act 2018, Federal Procurement Act Defense and Security 2012, Federal Procurement Act Concessions 2018 as well as nine state procurement control laws – and the jurisprudence of the procurement control authorities represent a major challenge for both clients and contractors.
We regularly advise public clients and sector clients as well as contractors within the framework of public procurement projects. Our work includes advising clients on procurement law and supporting them in the preparation and implementation of procurement procedures, starting with choosing the right type of procedure through the creation of the conditions of participation and tender documents up to the selection of the successful tenderer. We represent clients as well as bidders and applicants in review procedures and determination procedures before the procurement control authorities at federal and state level. Bidders and applicants rely on our expertise in examining participation and tender documents as well as challenging incorrect decisions by public clients in the context of review procedures.
